Breezy with cloud and showers, morning rain clearing east Rain this morning across central and eastern areas of the country. Turning drier and cloud, with some drizzle through much of England and Wales although showers and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. Heavier showers in Ireland with the southwest breeze increasing too. Showers spreading through nearly all areas during this morning and into the afternoon. Most of the showers over Ireland and western Scotland. More scattered showers or bursts of rain in many other areas and staying breezy. Brighter and drier in parts of southern England. Feeling warmer too in the south. Through this evening and overnight areas of showers and rain spread into Wales, central and southern England where the southwest wind picks up further. Heavy showers for northern England and western Scotland, fewer showers in the east. The showers also tending to mease in Ireland.
