Locally hot in south A fine summer's day for much of England, Wales and southeastern Ireland, with prolonged sunshine. Further north it will be cloudier and breezier, with a few showers developing across northern Scotland. Low cloud may linger along eastern coasts of Scotland and northeast England. Highs of 32 to 34C across much of England and Wales, 25 to 27C across Ireland and southern Scotland, but only around 15C in the far north of Scotland. A clear and pleasant evening and night for central and southern areas. Further northwest it will remain cloudier and breezy, with heavy showers continuing across northern Scotland. Low cloud, mist and fog patches may develop along eastern coastal districts. Minimum temperatures of 16 to 18C for most, falling to around 12C in the far north.
